Art Club

Art Club is an opportunity for those who really like to create and develop their artistic talent. There are art projects where pupils can make or create all sorts of interesting and exciting things using all sorts of different materials. Pupils have the opportunity to sketch, paint, collage, sculpt and design. The Art Club undertakes a variety of activities; currently students are working on a Art/Citizenship Project in association with The Red Cross. They are exploring their opinions and stereotypical views of refugees and asylum seekers. The pupils have created a poster based on peoples’ general misconceptions and stereotypical opinions of Refugees and Asylum Seekers. The Red Cross have taken several sessions to educate the boys on who Refugees and Asylum Seekers with an aim to challenge their existing views. To conclude this project, the students are creating an educational poster based on the information and truths they have discovered. The club were recently invited to showcase their work at Stormont.  To read more about this click here.  The students meet weekly and any students interested in attending Art Club this year please speak to Mr. Morrow.
