In Key Stage 3 all pupils study French and in Year 9 they study either German or Spanish in addition.
At the end of Year 10 pupils select the language or languages they enjoy most to study for G.C.S.E.
At present the pupils follow the AQA syllabus to G.C.S.E and these subjects may be continued through to AS and A2 level.

There are annual trips abroad which are enjoyed by many pupils and add to the authenticity and diversity of language learning.
Language magazines are available in the library and we subscribe to various internet sites as a way to encourage and enthuse the pupils to work online. Oral, listening, reading and writing activities are all available on websites such as
